Atoll platform has been specially designed to show outstanding capabilities of the System-on-module BlueShark OMAP3530. To enable flexibility in choosing the right configuration and dimensions for the development board there are two boards in Atoll set: lite and Deluxe. "Atoll-lite" is mostly the same with it's predecessor - Beagleboard with the additional Network controller, while the Deluxe version is intended to unveil all multimedia features of OMAP3 platform.
The software for all platforms is fully compatible. This means that the same kernel and file system can be utilized both at Lite and Deluxe versions. The only differences can be are in bootargs arguments for the kernel.
