System on Module with MCU Atmel AT91SAM9263, status: Development
SBC-9263v2 is a low-power, production-ready system-on-module (SOM) based on Atmel at91sam9263, supplied with production-ready Board Support Packages (BSP) for Linux 2.6. The module is designed in 200-pin SODIMM form-factor with dimensions just 67 x 47 mm.
A module architecture delivers enough performance to design a GUI based industrial control, or multimedia systems with sound processing. For getting started with SBC-9263 a customer does not need any special development tools like JTAG or IDE. Atmel supplies free of charge AT91 In-system Programmer (ISP), which provides an open set of tools for programming AtmelŪ AT91SAM ARMŪ ThumbŪ-based microcontrollers. The compiler for Linux is free of charge and requires no royalties. Our WIKI help system is full of instructions for initial power-up of SOM and describes software development procedures under Linux.
Atmel at91sam9263 MCU brings high resolution GUI to your embedded systems. We supply a few types of industrial displays ready to connect to SBC-9263 based boards. You can watch the SBC-9263 Development kit ME-MS1000B running the Angstrom Linux demo in our Video gallery.
Release notes (sbc-9263 -> sbc-9263v2) :
1) PSRAM changed to mobile SDRAM. This solution brings additional performance to CPU by reducing the main SDRAM bandwidth load from a processing of the frame buffer.
2) Separate High-performance Ethernet controller SMSC LAN9221i 10/100Mbit delivers efficient architecture with low CPU overhead.
3) Added RD/WR signals to the SODIMM connector.
4) Universal notch to fit DDR 1.8V & 2.5V connectors.
